our grass fed milk.

The farm has approximately 100 head of cattle who are farmed on 100 acres of farmland. The cattle are pasture fed, out in the fields from April until late November. They are fed from a mixture of grass, silage, and pasture-based feed. We run a twice day milking, all year-round calving system. We have been selling milk directly to the customer for over 20 years. In 2020 we opened the gate and utilised social media to promote our milk and were astonished at the local response.

The feedback from the new customer base has been incredibly positive and the request for us to continue to supply them with our milk has been heard. We subsequently converted a barn adjacent to our Dairy into a farm shop opened to the public enabling us to continue to provide our customers with the milk they so appreciated.

Once we had the resources to pasteurise the milk we commenced making our delicious milkshakes, a big hit with our customers.

Additionally, we have filled the shop with produce such as organic honey, ice cream, cheese, cream, pickles and jams, craft beers and spirits all sourced from other farmers and producers in the UK as locally as the quality allows.

Our philosophy for the farm shop is to provide top quality produce from the farmer to the local customer with our signature milk as the main product whilst remaining a family run business.

Re-Fills

We are unable to re-fill any container with Pasteurized milk, this is due to the resources at the farm and recommendations from the Food Standards Agency.

However for ‘ Raw’ Milk:

We will re-fill your container with milk saving you the cost of purchasing a new container every time. However we do not provide a container washing service and it can only be re-filled if thoroughly clean and not damaged. Please do not hesitate to discuss this with us, we have some top tips of how to safely get many uses out of your container. We will not re-fill contaminated containers due to the health risks associated with doing so.

Sorry we cannot recycle your old containers due to our own restricted recycling capacity and we only provide new containers to our customers.

Bring your own container

We are happy to fill your own container with ‘raw milk’ provided that the opening of the container is large enough for our milk pump (pop bottles openings are just not large enough). Many customers have purchased Litre glass bottles, steel mini churns etc.. We suggest prior to purchasing any expensive containers chat to us for advice first to ensure the container is suitable. We do ask that it is clear what amount of fluid is contained in your container, if not marked pre-measure and mark your container to the fill line to the nearest litre mark, we will be unable to measure your container due to the volume of customers requiring our attention.
